"Tiffany's Lady Rhiannon"
All my friends call me Rainey, I was born in Porter,
Texas on January 25, 1996. I was told I would be going to a new home soon. I
was pretty apprehensive at first but, when my new human came it was love at
first sight. When she ( the new human in my life ), turned her back on me, I
just knew I had to keep her attention ,so I started using my Corgi vocabulary
on her and ever since, I've barely touched the ground.
I am here to say that nobody has ever been able to prove how we
Corgis came to be. So I thought I would tell you where I know we came from. We,
the Pems, lived in the southwestern part of Wales called Pembrokeshire and it
was there that my ancestors were found by two young children who were out
tending the family's cattle on the king's land. The children took the puppies
home ( which they thought to be foxes ).
They were told by the menfolk that the little dogs were a gift from the
fairies. The "wee folk" used us to pull their carriages or as fairy
steeds. As the fox-like pups grew, they learned how to help their human
companions watch over the cattle.
Should anyone doubt the truth, we present day Corgis still
bear the marks over our shoulders of the little fairy riders.
Let me tell you that our curiosity is never-ending and I must
say the
favorite thing the Corgi loves to do is mind their humans business. The human
can't fool us fairy dogs because we know everything you do and how you do it
just so we are always one step ahead of your human minds.
Our vocabulary is very large sooooooo beware, we love to
hear ourselves and to see your reaction. We know just what will make you
laugh. You see, we love to make our humans happy because we thrive on love,
fun and happiness just like the fairies intended. You have to have a sense of
humour living with the fairies.
So we remain the little imps. I pray that all Pem people
out there keep in mind what we are and not change us for we are a gift from
the fairies and not to be changed by the human standard.

Yes I survived that contest the first month it was on.....I came in 3rd :-( but we made some Fantastic friends!!
